COOKIE POLICY
Last updated September 24, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AnswerHalo LLC ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://www.answerhalo.com ("Website"), and what control you have over them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies set by the owner of the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by anyone else are called "third-party cookies," and those are what allow one company to recognise the same person across different websites.
Do we use cookies?
No. This Website sets no cookies at all, first-party or third-party. We run no advertising, no ad networks and no retargeting. We use no analytics cookies and no session recording, and no third party sets a cookie through this Website.
We do measure how many people visit, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views without setting a cookie and without fingerprinting the visitor, which is why it needs no consent and does not appear in the table below.
This has not always been true, and we would rather say so than let you find out from an old cookie. Microsoft Clarity was removed from this Website on 17 August 2026. Google Analytics and the Termly consent banner were removed on 24 September 2026. Any cookie those tools set before those dates expires on its own schedule, and you can clear it now using the browser instructions below.
Because we set no cookies, this Website has no consent banner and no preference centre. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to switch off. If that changes, this policy changes with it, and a consent banner will appear before the first such cookie is set rather than after.
What we do store
One item, and it is not a cookie. It is held in your browser's session storage, which your browser discards when you close the tab. It never leaves your browser except as part of a free check you choose to submit, and it is never shared with anyone.
| Name: | ah_attr |
|---|---|
| Purpose: | Records how a visitor first arrived, the landing page and referring site, so that a later free-check request can be attributed to the channel that brought them. First party, held for the browser session only, and never shared with anyone. |
| Provider: | www.answerhalo.com |
| Type: | html_session_storage |
| Expires in: | Session. Discarded when you close the tab. |
The web address you arrived on is stored without its query string, and the query string is dropped again on our side, because a shared link is a common way for one person's details to end up in someone else's record.
How can I control what we store?
Closing the tab discards it. You can also clear session storage at any time through your browser's settings, or browse in a private window, in which case nothing is retained after you close it. Refusing it does not restrict your access to any part of this Website. The only thing it affects is our ability to tell which page brought you here.
How can I control cookies on my browser?
Although we set none, other websites will, and the way to refuse them varies by browser. Your browser's help menu is the authoritative guide. The following cover the most common browsers:
What about web beacons and similar technologies?
Cookies are not the only way to recognise a visitor. Web beacons, sometimes called tracking pixels or clear gifs, are tiny image files that report back when a page is opened or an email is read. We do not use them on this Website, and the emails we send you carry no tracking pixel, so we cannot tell whether you opened one.
Do you serve targeted advertising?
No. We do not permit any third party to display, serve or target advertisements through this Website, and we have not sold or shared personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We update this Cookie Policy when what we store changes, or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top indicates when it was last updated.
